In this tutorial, you’ll learn:
In order to connect the Bluetooth scale please follow the directions below. Everything you need to know about connecting the scale is right here.
Note: in iOS devices, the scale will not show up in the bluetooth settings so do not try to find and pair it there. Simply follow the instructions below.
STEP 1: Make sure your Bluetooth is toggled on in your device settings.
STEP 2: Turn on the Bluetooth scale.
STEP 3: In Bar Patrol App, go to Inventories and select New Inventory.
STEP 4: Choose a Location.
STEP 5: Select “Add Products” in the bottom right corner.
STEP 6: Select a Product (i.e. Absolut).
STEP 7: Place the bottle on the scale
STEP 8: In the app, switch the unit from Bottle to Oz. (if the unit is already on Oz. and no weight pops up, switch to Bottle and back to Oz.)
The weight and amount in the bottle should pop up in the app. Done.
NOTE: For Android devices, you must pair scale and enable permissions first before the scale will work. Again, the scale will not always show up in the bluetooth settings, and even if it does, you do not need to find and pair it there. Follow the instructions below.
STEP 1: Make sure your Bluetooth is toggled on in your device settings.
STEP 2: Go To settings –> Apps –> Permissions –> Nearby Device. Then click on the Barpatrol app and allow permission.
STEP 3: Go To setting –> Apps –> Permission –> Location. Then click on the Barpatrol app and allow permission.
STEP 4: Turn on the Bluetooth scale.
STEP 5: In Bar Patrol App, go to Inventories and select New Inventory.
STEP 6: Choose a Location.
STEP 7: Select “Add Products” in the bottom right corner.
STEP 8: Select a Product (i.e. Absolut).
STEP 9: Place the bottle on the scale
STEP 10: In the app, switch the unit from Bottle to Oz. (if the unit is already on Oz. and no weight pops up, switch to Bottle and back to Oz.)
The weight and amount in the bottle should pop up in the app. Done.
If you’re having trouble still getting your Bluetooth scale to work for you, here are a few things to look at:
1. Make sure your Bluetooth is toggled on in your settings. Sounds silly, but it happens.
2. If you have an iOS device and you’re looking for the Bluetooth scale to show up in your Bluetooth settings on your phone, STOP! As mentioned above, the scale will not appear in your device settings so please stop looking for it to appear.
3. When you use the scale for the first time, you should see a notification pop-up on your device asking permission to access the scale. Hit “Ok” in order to allow it to.
If you own an iOS device, here is a way to check if the bluetooth is on inside the app (Android does not have this option).
Go to Settings on your device and scroll down until you see the Bar Patrol App icon.
Once you select it, you’ll want to make sure that the Bluetooth is toggled on.
Now that you’ve ensured that your Bluetooth is on everywhere, go back to the instructions above and test it out.
